Comprehensive Teeth Whitening Procedures in Fremantle

In-Office Whitening

In-office teeth whitening at South Street Dental Centre is the quickest way to whiten teeth. We use Zoom in-office bleaching, where the whitening product is applied directly to the teeth. This product is then activated with a special lamp. Results are noticeable in a 30-60 minute treatment. Depending on the level of initial discolouration, several appointments may be needed. However, with in-office whitening, dramatic results can be seen after the first treatment. This type of whitening is the more expensive option, and patients may experience heightened teeth sensitivity.

When having teeth whitening procedures at South St Dental Centre, we’ll advise how to manage any sensitivity and educate you on post-whitening aftercare so your pearly whites will remain white for as long as possible.

Tray-Based/Take Home Whitening

With a take home tray-based tooth whitening system, a custom-made mouth guard-like tray will be filled with a gel whitening solution. The tray is worn for a period of time, generally for a couple of hours each day or during the night over a few days (depending on the degree of discolouration and desired level of whitening). This is the gentlest option on your teeth. A customised tray is moulded to your teeth to minimise wastage and leakage to the gum line. As we also sell the whitening gels separately, these trays can be retained for future in-home treatments.
