Our Technology

The future of dentistry is focused on precision instruments, high-resolution digital imaging, advanced software integration, and real-time information sharing.

We prioritise the safety, convenience, and comfort of our patients by investing in state-of-the-art equipment. Our cutting-edge biological technologies assist to mitigate failure, enhance healing and optimise treatment outcomes.

As one of the best-equipped private clinics in WA, we aim to alleviate dental anxiety and transform lives by providing exceptional care.

CBCT 3D and OPG (Sirona Orthophos SL3D)

Our clinic is proud to offer low-radiation digital Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) scans to our patients. CBCT scans are essential for accurate diagnosis and surgical planning. They provide detailed 3D images of the entire skull, including the sinuses and airways, which is crucial for conditions like sleep apnoea. CBCT also allows us to analyse bone density, volume, and availability with precision. It can detect malformations and other factors that impact oral and overall health. With the latest Sharp Layer technology, we can provide autofocused panoramic images, even in challenging cases, giving us comprehensive insights during initial consultations that go beyond what most dentists can offer.

3D Intraoral Scanners

Intra-oral 3D scanners use parallel confocal imaging technology to capture precise, full-colour scans with detail up to 10 microns. These scanners have revolutionized dental impressions, eliminating the discomfort and anxiety associated with traditional alginate or PVS impressions. 3D scanners facilitate seamless connectivity with dental labs and CAD/CAM systems, allowing for efficient communication and accurate fabrication of dental restorations. The iTero scanner integrates with the Invisalign® system, offering exclusive tools like the Outcome Simulator and Progress Assessment tool, which enhance treatment planning and improve patient communication.

Ultra Low-Dose Digital X-ray

Periapical X-ray plays a crucial role in diagnosis and treatment planning for various dental procedures. The latest digital x-ray imaging enables us to immediately visualize injury, inflammation, abnormalities or infection of teeth, gums, and jawbone, often before symptoms present. The digital capabilities of our chairside X-rays provide exceptional clarity and detail in the images, significantly reducing the exposure time and ensuring peace of mind.

Computer Assisted Smile Design

Computer assisted smile design dental technology leverages state-of-the-art 3D scanners to meticulously plan your smile transformation with precision. This cutting-edge approach offers patients the distinctive advantage of digitally and physically previewing their treatment outcome and provide immediate feedback before any procedures begin, akin to taking a “test drive” of your future smile. By working with the patient, we honour the individual’s distinct physical attributes and personality, promising a remarkable and uniquely natural-looking aesthetic outcome.

Computer Aided Surgical Guidance

Guided surgery, utilizing CBCT images, enhances the surgical process, making it smoother and more efficient for both surgeon and patient. Prior to the surgery, 3D impression scans are analyzed for ideal placement. These coordinates are locked and fabricated into a sterile guide for use during placement surgery. This approach helps shorten procedural time, minimize trauma and aiding in a faster recovery.

Dr Chan has been working closely with Trueline Dental Implant Surgical Guides & Implant Planning NSW to discuss and fabricate surgical guides for his patients since 2010. We do not charge extra for this service.

Advanced Ultrasonic Piezo Surgery

Crucial to our specialized advanced bone healing techniques, this tool enables us to operate on very delicate structures. Using ultrasonic technology, our extensive collection of diamond-coated tips allows our surgeons to complete the procedure with precision and without the risk of overheating healthy bone and gum tissue. This dental technology facilitates rapid and safe healing.

Biomaterials and Regenerative Techniques

The development of advanced biomaterials such as PRF (Platelet Rich Fibrin) promotes faster healing by enhancing tissue regeneration and reducing inflammation. Stem cells from PRF contain growth factors and proteins that stimulate cellular activity and growth.

All of our surgical procedures incorporate biological technology, we have in fact, been successfully using PRF extensively for many years.

Guided Tissue Regeneration (GTR)

GTR involves the use of barrier membranes to direct the growth of new bone and gum tissue at sites of periodontal defects. This technique helps in restoring periodontal health and can enhance the success of dental implants.

EMS Airflow (Guided Biofilm Therapy)

Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT) is based on clinically proven technologies invented by EMS. It was developed in cooperation with highly respected and experienced periodontologists, caries specialists and dental hygienists.

Guided biofilm therapy is minimally invasive, safe and effectively compliments our oral hygiene regiment. Gentle to soft tissue, implants and restorations, these instruments are real game-changer & new state-of-the-art approach to remove biofilm.
