We also assess the complete smile holistically, not only teeth. For your convenience, our dentists are qualified to use Botox and premium fillers to help correct asymmetry and increase confidence.

Things to consider with cosmetic dentistry

The various methods used in cosmetic dentistry may need to be repaired or replaced periodically.

Beware of cheap veneers. Fitting veneers can require the removal of healthy tooth material. Going for priced-too-good-to-be-true veneers can result in long-term damage to your teeth.

You should visit a cosmetic dentist for the treatment that is appropriate for you, and not for a specific price.

Our 3D scanning and design software can help you visualise the end result. Did you know we can even map and print a replica for you to experience? Ask us how.

Our Cosmetic Dentistry Services Perth

At South Street Dental, we provide a number of cosmetic dentistry services at our advanced facility in O'Connor, which is near Fremantle and as well as the wider Perth metro area and surrounds. Full Mouth Reconstructions

A full mouth reconstruction involves using a suite of multiple procedures such as dental implants and gum lifts that work together to restore optimal oral health for the ultimate confidence boost. We are a fully digital clinic with the latest 3D imaging and treatment modelling software, allowing you to 'test drive' your smile before committing to any treatment.

Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain veneers can be used to correct crooked, chipped, uneven teeth; or the gaps between teeth. Veneers can also correct teeth that have tetracycline staining and hyperfluorosis which appear as opaque white specks.
Parts of the affected teeth are removed to accommodate the veneer. The veneer facings are bonded to the prepared teeth.

Before and after using veneers to improve gaps and even out teeth sizes and shapes.

Bridges

A dental bridge can be used to replace one or more missing teeth, replace a partial denture, and stop remaining teeth from shifting positions. Our cosmetic dentists shape and colour artificial teeth to resemble your natural teeth and are fitted onto a “bridge” that is anchored to the natural teeth adjacent to the area missing teeth. There are different types of dental bridges, we can advise you on the best option for you.
Fitting a dental bridge requires the teeth on either side of the affected area to be crowned. The bridge is anchored to these crowns.
See Crowns and Bridges for more information.

Gum Augmentations

A gum segmentation or gum lift is a minor procedure that changes the shape of the gum line over the teeth.

It helps in achieving overall symmetry and balance of gum vs teeth ratio of your smile. Most people with a 'gummy smile' will seek a gum augmentation.

Gum augmentations are typically done in-chair for your convenience.

Teeth Whitening

Our cosmetic dentists use the Zoom! 45 Minute In-Chair Tooth Whitening System. The result can be dramatic. There is also a take-home teeth whitening kit alternative.
Teeth whitening is not permanent. The procedure will need to be repeated every few months depending on how quickly your teeth become stained through everyday use.
Existing fillings and restorations may need to be replaced after whitening so as to maintain the colour consistency. Whitening does not affect restorations which would have been coloured to match your teeth prior to the whitening.
Some sensitivity can be expected after each treatment.

Dentures

Every denture is custom fitted to your exact needs.
Cases where a dental bridge is not feasible, a partial or full denture can be fitted by our dentists to replace missing teeth. Unlike dental bridges, dentures are removable.
Dentures are a cost-effective way to cosmetically restore your smile.

However, dentures do not prevent underlying jawbone loss. Did you know you can have them secured to your jaw? There are more reasons to consider dental implants over traditional dentures.

Dental Implants

Dental Implants are now the gold standard in replacing one, or multiple missing teeth. Please see our dedicated implant service for more information.

Full mouth rehabilitation using implants - before and after.

Crowns

A crown is a custom-fitted ceramic “cap” that covers an entire tooth.
A crown can be used to protect a badly broken or cracked tooth, to restore the original look of a severely worn tooth, or to replace large fillings. It is also used to protect a tooth after root canal treatments.
See Crowns and Bridges for more information.

Composite Fillings

A composite filling can be used to treat a chipped, broken or decayed tooth, reduce the gap between teeth, or build up a worn tooth. The filled tooth has a colour like natural teeth.
A composite filling is usually placed in a single visit. Any decay is first removed before the tooth is cleansed and then filled with the composite material.
Our dentists can also replace your old amalgam with natural-looking composite fillings.
